july 31, 2013 - a list of things

god, it's 2 in the morning and i have to wake up at 6.

um, i don't know what to talk about tonight.

I think i'll make a list of things that i like.

Things That I Like:
clever humor
good books
being alone when it's dark and raining
talking to people every once in a while
cold weather in a warm coat
passing a test at school
warms beds and cold nights
driving alone
being praised
scratching a really good itch on the bottom of your foot
when there's no traffic at night
hugs every once in a while
drinking a lot of water
being stronger than i was a year and a half ago
cats and dogs
calmness
feeling sad and crying during a good movie - catharsis, i guess
sitting quietly outside
the cool wind of the ocean
beach volleyball
having read the textbook before coming to class/
ALSO, having done my homework before coming to class
when people like having me around
waking up with dry mouth and taking a long drink of water
feeling confident in my favorite hoodie
staying in clean hotel rooms
air conditioning
having money in the bank
fantasizing about a successful future
playing dungeons and dragons
playing frisbee
being alone without risk of other people around
re-reading a book and understanding it better
when i parallel park perfectly - i'm pretty good at parallel parking, actually
taking naps - sometimes
seeing live plays

That's all i'll list for now. i'll add more stuff tomorrow, maybe.

  1. Oh my gosh, you have to get up at 6?? And I think getting up at 8:30 is early...

Mmm clever humor. That's why I like Arrested Development.

So you like being alone a lot? Same here. Although sometimes it's nice to have a friend or 2 around.

"Being stronger than I was a year and a half ago." -physically, mentally, emotionally? Did anything specific happen a year and a half ago?

I was that student who ALWAYS got to class on time, with my homework finished and textbooks read. And I scoffed at those who didn't.

    I suck at parallel parking.

You're lucky you live by the ocean. I don't like swimming, but I think I'd just go sit on the sand a lot. Or walk along the shore. And watch the sunset. While walking my pet dog and watching a cat drown.

I usually hate reading books and watching movies twice.

    Hoodies!!!

    1. specifically physically stronger. a year and a half ago was when i started working out.

      scoff away!

the beach is fun, but it's a pain to get to sometimes because of traffic. i watched the sun set behind some mountains at santa monica pier a few years ago. it was pretty romantic. i was there with two guys friends.
